SCOUTING ITINERARY
The order of the days in the itinerary may change at the organiser’s discretion. Important! This trip will be a SCOUTING expedition. What does that mean? On a scouting trip, our founder, guide and photographer set out with a small group of adventurous travellers to discover a new destination. A scouting trip offers more than a standard tour: we explore and try as much as possible before choosing what belongs in future itineraries. There is always room for adventures and pleasant surprises. These journeys are especially full because you may see places that will not appear on later tours.
Day two
Explore the Ethiopian capital.
Day three
Fly to Semera, cross the Afar desert and watch sunset at Lake Asale.
Day four
Dallol’s otherworldly landscapes and the Erta Ale volcano.
Day five
Lake Afdera salt fields and return to Addis Ababa.
Day six
Fly south to Arba Minch and meet the Dorze people.
Day seven
Boat trip on Lake Chamo and travel to Konso.
Day eight
Omo Valley communities: Nyangatom, Karo and Hamar.
Day nine
Cross the Omo River to meet the Dassanech and visit the Mursi.
Day ten
Meet the Ari people, enjoy a farewell dinner and coffee ceremony.
Day eleven
Departure day: our scouting journey ends.
